Meet Hugh Welborn
Biography
Hugh Welborn, Attorney at Law, is located on Carolina Circle, which is off Main Street in downtown Anderson. Unlike most lawyers, he had drive and initiative to start his own firm straight out of law school, twenty years ago. Because of this, he has the ability to analyze problems on his own and the drive and determination to win your case.
Mr. Welborn's father, Charles Welborn, Sr., practiced law in Anderson for nearly 30 years until his death in 1975. Through his father's love and help for the working class, Hugh Welborn has developed a compassion for the working man. Before attending law school, Mr. Welborn roofed houses, worked as a mechanic in a gas station, worked in a steel plant, washed cars, and worked as a door-to-door salesman. With this background, he truly understands the woes of the working man and wishes to be accessible to those who need an attorney's help.
Hugh Welborn is an Anderson, South Carolina, native, born in 1955, and educated in Anderson schools. He is married to Linda, who teaches English at Anderson University, and he has one son who is a college freshman and one who is a senior in high school.
